About Me
I'm Christi, but most of the time, I answer to "Mommy." I've been married to my amazing husband for 10 years, and we have 5 little guys who bring us such joy, but also keep us extremely busy. We recently relocated from Florida to the beautiful mountains of North Carolina for my husband to pursue his dream job. I currently stay at home with our youngest sons, and homeschool our oldest part time.
Our family shares a love of music (it's actually how my husband and I met), exploring our surroundings, eating yummy local foods, but we also love just being home together as a family, snuggled up on the couch or playing games. Most importantly though, we are followers of Jesus Christ, desiring to glorify Him with our lives and actions, hoping to raise our boys to desire the same.
If I had all the time in the world, I would stay up late and sleep in, try new recipes every night, take everyone's picture, renovate every square inch of my house, repurpose everything, attend all the bible studies, drink endless cups of coffee with friends, give each of my boys the undivided attention they crave, and date my husband as much as possible, and maybe exercise (maybe). However, my days look quite different as you can imagine. They are long, loud, chaotic, isolating, and very challenging, but if I can stop for a moment and refocus, they are also beautiful, simple, joyful, and honestly, what I've always dreamed about.
I am a recovering "overwhelmed hot mess mom," and am on a daily mission to choose to rest in the PEACE that the Lord desires to give me and my family. My desire, as a wife and mom, is to not give in to the overwhelm of my days, and not to dwell on how "hard" things may be, because, honestly, no matter what we are going through, no matter what season of life we are in, life IS hard. Raising a children IS hard. But it is the most rewarding job and amazing journey.
Philippians 4:8-9 says, "whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, DWELL ON THESE THINGS. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you." What an amazing promise, that He, the giver of PEACE, will be with me!
Dwelling Well is a journey I am choosing to take, for the sake of my family, and my own relationship with the Lord, and I hope that you will take it along with me!
Please feel free to reach out and introduce yourself! I'd LOVE to hear from you!

Recently, I started using Young Living essential oils to help battle the overwhelm in our home. These oils, when used with intention, can be powerful tools to help support our emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
If you'd like to learn how oils can help support our emotions on a daily basis, sign up for the "Change Your Perspective On Your Mundane" Email Challenge. I will walk you through 7 truths in 7 days, and give you practical tips on how to use oils in your everyday. If you'd like to learn how we incorporate oils into our everyday routines, Oils Before Overwhelm | A Toolkit For A Hot Mess Mom, is a great place to start. And as always, please feel free to reach out via email to start a conversation about any and all things...raising boys, raising twins, essential oils, and anything in between! |
Another quick tidbit about me is that I LOVE giving gifts. So, because you've read this far, here's a little gift for you!
